I recently bought new set of rubber parts to restore my 9191
I’ve just bought a beautiful REVOX B77. Can anyone recommend how to take care of it and cherish it for years to come. Could I also ask are there any service information I should know about before i accidentally kill it. after how many hour should I service the tape heads.
@@Indiecovers1985 Clean the heads with isopropyl alcohol and Qtips once a month but that depends on how much you use it. I recommend degaussing the heads once a year. Other than that, nothing else needs to be done if it works right.
How do you connect this to your speaker ?
@@TTUNETWORK You use a receiver or an amplifier via RCA cables.
@@marcusdolby1thank you!
What's the music?
Good question, an old friend gave me this record. I will check it and get back to you.
How many heads and does it record on the 8 track too, also would you recomend a Ampex 2070 over this? Thanks!
teenagers wet dream one these or akai reel to reel
It would have been a little more effective he had picked a song that didn't already have saturated reverb
great video. Just bought the same model. However, when I fast forward and rewind, I can here audio. Any idea how I can fix that? Thanks in advance!
@@crisantosantaana Tape lifters grease has dried up and are stuck. The lifters need to be cleaned and re-lubricated.
@@marcusdolby1 Thank you so much! I really enjoy your channel!
Привіт, Марк. Я теж придбав не давно, але TEAC
Ottimo reel❤
Hi Mark. 110v or 220v :)
Hey buddy, 110 only.
@marcusdolby1 Hi, ok the waiting is still ON :)
I have one FOR SALE on Reverb - serviced by a Tech and now with Wet-Only-Mod, Jacks I/O & new Power Plug. Ready to use in the studio right away, Plug&Play! 💥😃
practically out of the box
While I usually prefer the proportions of 7 inch machines, the X-1000 is absolutely stunning, one of the most gorgeously sleek and smart looking reel to reels I've ever seen. Definitely a dream hifi item, I'd love to get my hands on one of these on day. Fantastic piece!
Lonl please
If this for sale and how do you purchase it?
@@SamuelBarrPhotography I will be listing on eBay and Reverb tonight. I will send you a link when it’s up.
@@marcusdolby1 - OK, great. Thank you very much.
Lovely bit of kit. Enjoy
this machine has a really nice pre amp and gets a nice natural overdrive when wanted.
Which Tape are you Using? It’s also important.
I’ve own one of these for 8 years. Bought it after it was professionally serviced along with an external Dolby unit and it has been great The secret is to have it in a room where temperature and humidity are well Controlled, also to use it frequently and not let it sit for months on, and most importantly is to clean the entire path after playing or recording each reel
Legal 👍
Sounds great. I really want one of these. So, the original source was a normal CD, and the recording of the CD sounds better?
I had a variation of this one, the 317, & was also a solid good sounding deck.
Wonderful tune❤
Wish we lived in an era where equipment like this was still being made mainstream. Miss the good old days.
Yess 🙌
everyday duty deck back in my tape years. tks for sharing
This is nothing short of amazing! Even if you don’t take into account the age of the equipment, it STILL sounds outrageously GREAT!
Hi Marc. Nice to see you online after a while. Lovely vintage deck. Piano keys..... classic ❤
Didn’t 3 kids die?
No

It was when I was in my late 20'a or early 30's that a supervisor at a place I worked at called Career Development Center, just gave away one of this Tanburg reel to reel player recorder to me. When recording songs of mine I made with a Kawai keyboard I had, if I wanted to record four track wise all at once I had to turn it out mono. If I wanted things in stereo it was like only being able to record two track wise at once. Then I could only add two more tracks by first mixing and recording the two stereo tracks 1 left 2 right 3 left 4 right to a cassette tape, and then recording them back to two stereo tracks on the Tanburg reel to reel. Then after that I recorded the next stereo track on track 3 left and 4 right. On a 16 channel Behringer mixer I had I mixed my bass with the pan knob at center position, to mix my bass in the middle of the stereo field.
Mine has a 2sec delay everytime I press 'play' on either direction. This one has almost zero delay. Amazing !
I just got one from a relative and it sat for a while in his basement, turns on fine and plays fine just the brakes aren’t very good and the counter belt was broken off. trying to figure out how to replace this felt for the brakes and get it all cleaned. Super awesome deck
Does this model have the 2T/4T switch under the head stack cover? Also, have you tried the Test OSC function, (Test Oscillator)? I know that this video is 8 years old but I have an opportunity to buy one and I was just wondering about that. Thanks, Rich
How much you asking for it.
This deck sold 2 years ago.
I GOT THE SAME TAPE DECK , NOW I LEAR HOW I CAN RECORDER A BEST TAPE , THANK YOU ! GREETING FROM BUENOS AIRES
Anyone have info on how to clean or repair these? Hard to find much about it on the Internet.
What’s wrong with the unit?
Just heard this on sirius xm.
Hello, good afternoon! Please tell me, did you have a pioneer rt-2022 model? If there was one, please tell me a worthwhile thing
Good deck but like vintage electronics, operating condition is everything.
Hi
Whats the name of this song please and thank you
Minute by Minute instrumental version by Larry Carlton.

It was a full, unarmed nuclear bomb. It did have the nuclear core. That is why the gieger counters were used. A month earlier a Mk 15 Nuke was released off Georgia.
Wrong, from the official report, Fortunately, the fissile nuclear core was stored elsewhere on the aircraft.
Have the Akai M8 version. Had to drop some money into repairs, replacing some of the cheap pot metal components with higher quality ones but it's now in perfect working order and sounds absolutely amazing connect to some decent speakers.
I knew someone who had one of these. It seemed to never fail! He and his wife are both long gone, but his youngest son seems to be keeping the house and everything about it as if they are still alive. The machine may still be where I last saw it years ago, almost like a shrine in the tiny living room.
I literally just found one in my attic and I need to know how to make it operate- what resources or individuals can you link me to to get it running- I hear it hum when I turn it on but the features don’t operate when I change the switches; does it need a reel to operate? Oh so many questions!
Yep, you need reels and tape.
Check the main belt.
I agree. For my ears only 700R/7R/7 sound great. Other TEAC models sound dry, boring, and "industrial" for some reason. Imho
My husband has a T-6600 that constantly wants to reverse when he is trying to play a tape. The tech says it needs a reel kit RXX-081-0 but he, nor I cannot find one. Does anyone know if this is what it may need and where he can purchase one? Thanks.
That’s exactly what it needs, they are very hard to fine.
